Most fuel receipts try to tell you everything. The BISEO OIL template does the opposite.

Six data lines. A date, a pump, a note number, a fuel type, a volume, a rate, a total. Nothing else. It is the shape a forecourt slip takes when it has to be printed and handed over before the next car pulls in, and the compression is the point rather than a shortcoming.

This page covers that format specifically: what each line carries, why the pump-and-shift pair is the most interesting field on it, and where this template stops being the right one.

What a BISEO OIL receipt shows

The header is yours. Station name, street, country, postal code — four lines you set once and they carry across every receipt you make afterwards.

Then the transaction, in this order:

• Date and time, side by side on one line

• Pompa/Shift — the pump number and the shift number, as a pair

• Nomor Nota — the note number, your sequential reference for the sale

• Jenis BBM — the fuel type dispensed

• Liter — the volume

• Price/liter — the rate charged

• Total — what was paid

And a closing courtesy line: Terima kasih dan Selamat Jalan. Thank you, and safe journey.

That is the whole document. Seven lines of transaction detail under a four-line header, which fits on a narrow thermal roll with room to spare.

The pump and shift pair

This is the field worth understanding, because almost no Western receipt carries it.

Pompa/Shift compresses two different kinds of accountability into one line. The pump number says which dispenser delivered the fuel. The shift number says which duty period the sale fell in — and by extension, who was working.

That matters on a forecourt in a way it does not in a shop. Fuel is high value, sold fast, often handled by an attendant rather than the customer. If a day's takings do not reconcile, the two numbers that narrow the problem are the pump and the shift. One points at equipment, the other points at a rota.

Western slips usually print a pump number and drop the shift entirely, which means a discrepancy can be traced to a dispenser but not to a duty period. The paired format keeps both, in the space of one line.

So when you fill this field, both halves earn their place. A pump number alone is half the trail.

Reading the fuel lines

Three of the six lines are arithmetic, and they check each other.

Liter is the volume dispensed. Price/liter is the rate. Total is what follows from multiplying them. Any two produce the third, which means anyone reading the slip can verify it without asking you a single question.

That self-checking property is specific to fuel. A restaurant bill does not work this way; neither does a grocery slip. It is why a fuel receipt showing only a total is close to useless, and why this template puts volume and rate on the page rather than collapsing them into the amount paid.

Jenis BBM is the fuel type. BBM stands for bahan bakar minyak — fuel oil — and the field names the grade that went into the tank. It is short, so use the grade name your station actually prints rather than a generic description. Grade is what establishes what was dispensed, and it is the field a reader checks when a vehicle takes one fuel and the receipt suggests another.

Nomor Nota is the note number. Keep it sequential across all your receipts, with no gaps and no restarting. That is what lets you prove the series is complete and find one sale without reading the rest.

What this format leaves out

Worth being direct about, because the omissions are deliberate and they define when this template fits.

A BISEO OIL slip carries no tax line, no payment method, no vehicle registration and no odometer reading. For a cash sale over the counter, none of those are missed. For anything else, at least one of them usually is.

A fleet needs the vehicle and the odometer, because without them a fill cannot be tied to an asset or turned into a consumption figure. An expense reviewer often wants the payment method. A business registered for tax where tax applies to fuel needs the tax line.

If you need any of those, start from a fuller layout instead. The fuel receipts category covers the field sets for diesel, LPG, charging, fleet cards and bulk delivery, and which one to pick for what you are recording.

This template is for the straightforward case: a volume of fuel, a rate, a total, handed over at the pump.

Step by Step

How to make a BISEO OIL receipt

01

Open the template

Pick BISEO OIL from the fuel category. The layout loads with the field set above.

02

Set your station header.

Name, street, country and postal code. These carry over to every receipt you make next, so you enter them once.

03

Fill the transaction.

Date and time, pump and shift, note number, fuel type, volume and rate. Let the total follow from the volume and the rate rather than typing it on its own.

04

Download or send

Export as a PDF or an image, or email it. Check it reads cleanly at full size before it goes out.
