The 14-day refund window

Receiptmakerly offers three paid subscription plans. All of them recur until you cancel the billing agreement.

Because there is no trial version of the software, we offer a 14-day refund policy instead. If you subscribe and find the product does not serve your purpose, or does not work the way you intended it to, you can request a refund within 14 days of your payment.

Any refund requested more than 14 days after payment cannot be accounted for.

The 14 days run from the date of payment not from when you first used the product or when a problem appeared. If you subscribe on the 1st, your window closes on the 15th.

What is and is not refundable

Eligible

  • A payment made within the last 14 days
  • The product does not serve the purpose you subscribed for
  • The product does not work the way you intended it to
  • A technical fault we cannot resolve for you

Not eligible

  • Any payment made more than 14 days ago
  • Partial months of service
  • Unused months on an account that is still open
  • Fees already accrued before you cancelled or your account was deleted

We may choose to provide a refund or credit for partial usage, but we are not obliged to do so and doing it once does not commit us to doing it again.

When you ask for a refund you may need to explain the reason behind the request. We review each request and decide whether it qualifies under this policy.

How to request a refund

  1. Contact us within 14 days of payment. Email support@receiptmakerly.com, or use the live chat on the website.
  2. Include your account email and the payment date. A transaction or order reference from your payment confirmation helps us find it faster.
  3. Tell us what did not work. A sentence is enough. If it was a technical problem, we may be able to fix it rather than refund you, which is usually the better outcome for both of us.
  4. We review and respond. If your request qualifies, the refund is issued through the original payment method by our payment processor.

Refunds are returned through the payment method you originally used. How long the money takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer rather than on us.

Cancelling is not the same as a refund

These two get confused, and the difference matters.

Cancelling

  • Stops your subscription renewing
  • Prevents future charges
  • Does not return money already paid
  • Available at any time

Refunding

  • Returns a payment you already made
  • Only within 14 days of that payment
  • Subject to review
  • Does not automatically cancel your plan

To cancel, email support@receiptmakerly.com or use the live chat. Please let us know in advance of your next billing date, so the cancellation takes effect before you are charged again.

If you want both, say so. Asking for a refund does not cancel your subscription on its own.

Billing you should know about

Subscriptions recur automatically. All three plans continue until you cancel the billing agreement with us. You will be charged at each interval for the plan you are on.

Changing plan. If you switch plans, your next billing cycle is charged at the rate of the plan you changed to.

Currency and taxes. Unless stated otherwise, all fees are quoted in US Dollars. You are responsible for any applicable taxes on your subscription.

Fee changes. We may change our fees from time to time. The fee that applies is the one current at the time you are charged.
